Charter ------- The purpose of this list is to talk about anything about Corvettes. Posting to the VETTES list -------------------------- >>>>> Do NOT post anything that has a COPYRIGHT or is illegal. <<<<< >>>>> Since the readership of the VetteNet is well over 400+, <<<<< >>>>> please adhere to the following: <<<<< >>>>> <<<<< >>>>> PLEASE keep your postings specifically to Corvettes as <<<<< >>>>> any other topics may result in "flames" from the members <<<<< >>>>> of VetteNet and/or will result in you being dropped from <<<<< >>>>> this list without prior notice. <<<<< >>>>> VetteNet is NOT a moderated list, so be aware that what <<<<< >>>>> you post is distributed to the entire membership; there <<<<< >>>>> is no mechanism to retrieve/delete postings that you may <<<<< >>>>> have sent to this list. <<<<< Postings should be sent to: VETTES@ASUVM.INRE.ASU.EDU All postings to VETTES are archived at this node (ASUVM.INRE.ASU.EDU or ASUACAD.BITNET). You may retrieve the log for any particular month by sending an email letter to LISTSERV@ASUVM.INRE.ASU.EDU and making the one line contents read as follows: GET VETTES LOG9307. This message will cause the log for July 1993 to be sent to you as an email letter. Logs for other months can be requested by an obvious alteration of the code LOGyymm. Note: The logs are now archived by weeks; LOG9307A = week 1 of July '93, LOG9307B = week 2 of July '93 , etc.. LISTSERV commands ----------------- There is a difference between sending mail to a list and sending commands to a LISTSERV. The commands described in this section are LISTSERVer commands which are sent to LISTSERV@ASUVM.INRE.ASU.EDU rather than to VETTES@ASUVM.INRE.ASU.EDU). The most commonly used LISTSERV commands are as follows: Command Function HELP Request HELP; returns a list of valid commands. SUBSCRIBE VETTES your_actual_name Subscribes an individual to a list (e.g., VETTES). SIGNOFF VETTES Terminates a subscription; there is no need to sign one's name. SET VETTES NOMAIL Used for when you wish to NOT receive mail, i.e. during vacation. SET VETTES MAIL To be able to receive mail again from the list. SET VETTES DIGEST Receive mail in digest form, currently sent out every Wednesday. The digest is 'cut' every 2K records, so you may get 2-3 digests/week. SET VETTES NOREPRO Stops sending you a copy of your own postings. You will still receive an acknowledgement that your posting has been received INDEX VETTES Send the requestor a list of all files archived for this particular list. REVIEW VETTES Sends the requestor a list of all subscribers. This is restricted to VETTES members only. GET VETTES LOG9307A Sends the requestor the first weeks log for July 1993. These commands can be sent to LISTSERV in two ways. The simplest is probably by including the command as the sole line in an email letter addressed to LISTSERV@ASUACAD.BITNET or LISTSERV@ASUVM.INRE.ASU.EDU. The other way is limited to Bitnet sites who have access to interactive messaging facility (TELL, SEND, etc.). Instead of sending email, send the Listserv command via this method, for example: VM/CMS TELL LISTSERV AT ASUACAD command If you encounter problems or have questions about this list, please send them to: KHAAV@ASUVM.INRE.ASU.EDU (Bob Kaneshige). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ STANDARD DISCLAIMER The distribution of this list is a courtesy and not a service.
